Section Wise Analysis
English Usage and Reading Comprehension
A non-existent difficulty level made this section easy to attempt. A fairly good understanding of the language would have built the scores for this section.
Vocabulary based questions like synonyms, antonyms, fill in the blanks, odd word can be tackled with ease if one is familiar with words and sentence construction. This familiarity can be built by following certain grammar fundamentals as well reading material written in the language. These fundamentals can be learnt from the basics with the help of the ‘Wren and Martin’, the book on English Grammar.
Questions on substitution of idiomatic phrases, analogies and the RC passage were also easy and should have been attempted first as far as possible.
Para jumbles were of average difficulty level.
Rest of the questions from English usage was straightforward.
Questions based on Deductive Reasoning however proved to be of average difficulty level.
An attempt of 20 questions is possible in this section.

Quantitative Ability:
A section which displayed an ‘Easy to Average’ difficulty level.
If you have a flair of playing with numbers and figures taught at high school level then questions from this section which were based on the fundamentals learnt through the years in school up to standard twelve would have been easy.
A good mix of sitters which a student would have been able to tackle in a minute. Around 15 questions could have been solved within a minute or with little bit calculations. But concepts of all the areas were necessary to stay ahead in this section.
The sitters were 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16 & 21.
An attempt of 18-20 questions is possible in this section.

Reasoning Ability:
Testing your logical and abstract thinking this section displayed an easy to average difficulty level. Though almost all the questions were caselet based, they were short and easy to tackle.
The caselets on Analytical Reasoning were reasonably easy and hence were the score builders for this section.
A good blend of Analytical Reasoning, Mathematical Reasoning, Visual Reasoning, Data Sufficiency and Data Interpretation problems made it easy for a student to ‘make hay while the sun shines’!
An attempt of 20 questions is possible in this section.

General Awareness:
There is no difficulty for this section so it cannot be termed ‘tough’ or ‘easy’. A good reading habit of at least two dailies or a business chronicle will do the needful to tackle this section. Everything is memory based, retaining what ever you read, be it in the field of business or politics or science one should have storage in the compartment of the brain and keep on storing information there.
