Procedure
The selection procedure consists of following steps:

1. Candidates who have registered for SICSR will be short-listed for GD/PI based      on their SNAP test scores.

2. GD/PI will be conducted on 27th & 28th February’2010

3. The first Merit list for admission to MBA (IT) and MSc (CA) programmes will be      declared on March 08, 2010 and will also be displayed on the Institute's      website. A letter will be sent to the selected candidates.

4. The selected candidate is required to prove his/her eligibility to secure the      admission and pay the fees as per the schedule; otherwise the seat will be      given to the next candidate in the merit list.

5. The acceptance of fees by the Institute does not mean that the admission is      confirmed, as all admissions are subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria of      SIU.

Their admission will be provisional and subject to furnishing proof of graduation with 50% by beginning of the Second Semester. Failure to furnish proof shall render their admission null and void.

Stage 1
: SNAP Test

Stage 2: This round consists of a group discussion, home assignments and a                personal interview.

PREFERENCE:

Master of Business Administration - International Business [MBA - (IB)] Basic Eligibility Criteria (for all Categories)

Candidate must hold a Bachelors Degree of any statutory University with at least 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks.

Students who are in the final year of their bachelors degree education may also apply. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non fulfillment of the stated criteria. Students are not eligible till all the graduation backlogs are cleared.

Graduates passing Degree examination by part time / correspondence course are not eligible.

Important: It is the responsibility of the Candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualifications for admission. Having been admitted provisionally does not mean acceptance of eligibility. Final eligibility for admission will be decided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University).

Preference: Engineering graduates, graduates from disciplines like Economics, Statistics, CA / CFA / ICWA / CS (completed) will be given preference. Work experience (full time) of more than one year will be granted preference, [subject to verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period)].

Master of Business Administration - Agri Business [MBA - (AB)] Basic Eligibility Criteria (for all Categories)

Graduate in Agri Sciences or Agri related discipline from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks at Graduate level Non Agri graduates from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks at Graduate level with minimum one year full time work experience only in Agri Business or Agri related businesses [subject to verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period)].

Students who are in the final year of their bachelors degree education may also apply. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non fulfillment of the stated criteria. Students are not eligible till all graduation backlogs are cleared.

Bachelors' degree in Engineering / Geology / Bio Technology / Environment Science / Architecture from any statutory University with at least 50% (for SC / ST categories 45 %) marks at graduate level.

Non Engineer graduates, only with full time work experience of more than one year in Energy / Environment sector will also be considered eligible [subject to verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period)]. Students who are in the final year of their bachelors' degree education may also apply. Admission of such candidate will be provisional and will be cancelled in the event of non fulfillment of the stated criteria. Students are not eligible till all graduation backlogs are cleared. Graduates passing Degree examination by part time / correspondence course are not eligible.

Stage 1:

Candidate has to appear for SNAP Test on 20th December 09. The SNAP test score will be one of the parameters for short-listing the candidates for GD/PI. Other parameters include academic background and work experience.

Stage 2:

• Group Discussion
• Personal Interview
• Group Activity & Written Communication Test.

The Group Discussion will be based on a case study, which will be followed by personal interview. The Group Test would evaluate the soft skills required in a managerial position and the written communication would evaluate the ability to write concisely & coherently.

Final Selection:

The final selection of students will be based on the performance in Phase 1and Phase 2.

Stage 1 :

Stage 2:

After the SNAP test result is declared, candidates who have applied for SITM will be short listed and called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview, which will be held in Pune. The GD & PI will also include an extempore.

SCIT works out the final score for consideration of the shortlist on the following basis.

STAGE 1:

SNAP Written test - Interested candidates must appear for the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP test) on 20th December 2009. SNAP test registration is a must.

STAGE 2:

Group Discussions and Personal Interviews- Candidates from the first stage will be short listed on various parameters like SNAP score, work exp, academic performance, etc to appear for Group Discussions and later if short listed for Personal Interviews as per the schedule at Nashik .

STAGE 3:

Those short listed from Stage II will be issued Admission Offer letters as per the Merit List. The Merit list shall be declared to the students on the website on February 26, 2010.

STAGE 4:

Payment of Fees and confirmation of admission – Candidates on final Merit list must complete their admission by paying the first installment of fees latest by 10th March, 2010.  Admissions from waitlist will be announced on 12th March, 2010. Such candidates must pay fees latest by 22nd March, 2010. Further vacancies if any will be announced on the website.
